{"id":4663,"date":"2023-11-12T18:45:10","date_gmt":"2023-11-12T17:45:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.camminodonbosco.eu\/pino-dasti\/"},"modified":"2024-02-24T17:51:21","modified_gmt":"2024-02-24T16:51:21","slug":"pino-dasti","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.camminodonbosco.eu\/en\/pino-dasti\/","title":{"rendered":"Pino d&#8217;Asti"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once called Pino di <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Castelnuovo_Don_Bosco\">Castelnuovo<\/a> due to its proximity to the latter, Pino d&#8217;Asti has been part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Monferrato\">Monferrato<\/a> county since the <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alto_Medioevo\">High Middle Ages<\/a>. A fief owned by the Lords of Cocconato for over three centuries until 1770, thereafter various houses such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/w\/index.php?title=Freylino&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1\">Freylino<\/a> counts of Pino and Buttigliera, lords of Aramengo, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Scozia\">Scozia<\/a> family succeeded, dividing the feudal rights equally among themselves. From the Scozia family, the castle passed by inheritance to the Viani d&#8217;Ovrano and finally to the de Rege di Donato.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Places of Interest<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Castle, located on the top of the hill, dates back to the medieval era (13th century) but was completely restored in the <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/XVII_secolo\">seventeenth<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/XX_secolo\">eighteenth<\/a>, and again in the twentieth century, with the collapse of the majestic circular tower and recently plastered.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Parish Church of Madonna del Carmine, in <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Neogotico\">neo-Gothic style<\/a>, was erected in <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1899\">1899<\/a> on the site of an ancient church. Next to it stands the elegant <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Barocco\">baroque<\/a> bell tower of Vittonian influence, made of brick in the upper part on a base of stone material.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Once called Pino di Castelnuovo due to its proximity to the latter, Pino d&#8217;Asti has been part of the Monferrato county since the High Middle Ages.
