Start and Arrival: Piazzale Basilica Colle Don Bosco

Easy route difficulty with trail markers, slightly undulating
Starting from the piazzale della Basilica, reach the Museo della Civiltà contadina dell’Ottocento, then descend along the stairs and follow the Cammino Don Bosco to SP33. Turn left onto the provincial road, then turn right about 120 meters later, continue for about 1 km, passing by Cascina Mainito, and reach the junction near the bridge over the Rio della Valle. At the junction, continue to the left for another 200 meters, then turn left again at the next junction and once more to the left after traveling another 100 meters. From here, follow the main trail in the woods, ignoring the various deviations, until you reach a votive pillar (at about 3.2 km from the start). Continue, ignoring the left turn after about 300 meters, then cross Via Gianoli. Turn right and ignore the two subsequent deviations, continue on Via Cecca until you intersect with SP33. Cross it to go up to the cemetery and continue on Via Boschignolo for about 800 meters, until you reach the votive pillar at the entrance to Capriglio. Continue to the left on Via San Giovanni, to reach Piazza Mamma Margherita (Comune, Museo Mamma Margherita e Chiesa di S. Martino). Then descend towards the valley floor, along the beautiful walkway that runs alongside Via San Giovanni, to reach the intersection with Via Bacolla. At the stop sign, continue straight, then turn right after about 10 meters, following trail number. 111. After about 300 meters, leaving a pond on the right, continue straight, ignoring the first turn-off to the right and also the subsequent deviations, following the path for about 1.9 km, and – after passing the fences of a horse breeding farm – intersect with the Strada del Papa in Morialdo. Turn left onto this road, to quickly reach (about 900 meters) the starting point in the square of the Basilica del Colle.
