Mombello di Torino has about 400 inhabitants and is located 27 km from Turin. Settlements have been documented since the 12th century, formerly known as Monte della Frasca. It passed from the Marquises of Monferrato to the Chieri Republic in the 13th century and then under the rule of the House of Savoy a century later. Various feudal lords alternated until the end of the 18th century.

The parish Church in the historic center, rich in well-preserved and renovated noble houses, is dedicated to St. John the Baptist and is accompanied by a tall clock tower. The Romanesque Chapel of San Lorenzo, located on the border with the Barbaso hamlet of Moncucco T.se.
